Paralysis VS Ellipsis

Kowure,

This is my special morning greeting to you in the Kulere language of the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. It is another good time to share with you. Hope you are earnestly looking forward to the end of the year- the most expensive and fun – filled time of the year?

Today, I will tell you the story of my friend who had an entrepreneurial drive; he went to his uncle to discuss his intentions. His uncle gave him ten reasons to hold on to his career, saying his boss would reward his loyalty down the line. What should he do? However, as a convinced young man, he moved on with faith. Let’s think together on Paralysis versus Ellipsis.

Paralysis is the state of being extremely analysing till the person’s vision is killed. There are many people who overanalyse situations, using copious examples, to the point of discouraging others. Unfortunately, every organisation grew out of someone’s vision of daring the odds.

Ellipsis, in this sense, is the state of starting out and trudging along till everything falls into the right position. In this age of information, many things can be checked on Google, while others are learned through experience. Many people would tell you that they need millions of naira to start up a business, while some people started up the same business with the idea and a few thousand.

Like the story of Moses in the scriptures, what is in your hands at this material time? It could be all you need as you move towards you and others whose destiny depends on yours to proceed to the Promised Land.

Being courageous and determined is the first step in the direction of success.

Cheers!

Olutayo
