The year is now in full swing and I am sure you are ready to take on the attendant challenges. Never worry, you won’t be swamped. You will definitely overcome. Just give it a little time, it will expire in a bit.
As a Public Relations Consultant, we have created an Annual Plan for the client. We do know that it is not cast in stone but it is a working guide that will give an idea of all that should be done in the course of the year. Infact, this ignite conversation for between the agency and the client. Through this the client will know that they are prioritized.
Having said this, many global organizations have also chosen dates where they will celebrate various days, for instance, we have the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, World Malaria Day, World Milk Day, International Day of the Girl Child, and International Youth Day among others. These days are to commemorate awareness about certain causes.
In our independent lives, we have fixed days for our birthdays, wedding anniversaries and possibly, days when we attained remarkable feats.
I will want to bring the conclusion closer to the various organizations that we run. Do we have specific periods when we celebrate the milestones of our brands? Do our organizations have specific weeks in the year when we host conferences and our workshops?
What I have highlighted above was revealed more while we were searching for 2024 Conferences hosted by Nigerian organizations. Many of the organization have not fixed a date for their event neither have planning began.
This method of impromptu planning for our local conferences make it difficult for professionals from across the world to be a part of these shabby events.
So, the leadership of various organizations need to sit up and make schedules on the calendar of their organization and from this year begin to make concerted efforts to actualize these events annually.
To communicate effectively, you need to be strategic and this is one of it.
At your annual retreat, mark your calendar appropriately!
